Because every other club fields its own real squad, so you are up against genuine elite sides. Winning is possible but hard; a top-four finish is a good season. The main lever you have is your five respins — skipping a weak club is how a good drafter closes the gap. Prime mode also lifts your ceiling considerably.
Every player arrives at the best rating he ever reached in the dataset, while keeping the club, season and position you drafted him at. So you can draft a young player from an early season and get the version of him from his peak years. It applies to the AI clubs as well, so it is a change of flavour more than a difficulty setting.
Eleven seasons, 2014-15 through 2025-26, across the Premier League, La Liga, Serie A, the Bundesliga and Ligue 1. The 2024-25 season is currently missing because no freely available copy of that edition's database existed when the game was built. Details are on the about page.
It sounds like the powerful option, but a five-league pool contains a smaller proportion of elite clubs than a single league does, so the wheel lands on a strong side less often. It gives you more variety, not more strength.
They are the ratings from the FIFA and EA Sports FC databases for that player in that season — EA's own assessments, not ones invented here. They are used for simulation only and remain the property of their owners. See the about page for the full provenance.
The other ten seasons came from freely downloadable copies of the FIFA 15–24 and EA Sports FC 26 databases. The equivalent for that one edition was not available on the same terms. If that changes it will be added — the game is built to take extra seasons without any other changes.
It is a short code that determines everything random in a run: the wheel, the shortlists, how all the AI clubs draft, and every match result. The same seed always produces the same outcome, which is what makes a shared result verifiable and a challenge link a fair contest.
Yes. A result link replays their exact season including their eleven. A challenge link gives you the same wheel and the same fixtures but lets you draft your own side, which is the fair way to compare.
Deliberately. Each shape has a genuine trade-off — a back five defends better, a front three attacks more — but none is a free win, and the balance is verified automatically so that no formation finishes more than a few places above another on average. Player quality is meant to decide seasons, not shape selection.
Usually not, which is the point. Playing someone out of position costs real rating, and the pitch shows you exactly how much before you commit. It exists for the times you want a superstar in your eleven badly enough to pay for it.
Possibly. The data pipeline is built to take extra seasons and extra divisions without changes elsewhere. What gets added depends on what people ask for — so ask.
